Gunter Noris – King of Dance Music Vol.1

Samba gives this opening volume of King of Dance Music much of its identity. Amaryllis Samba and Amazon Samba begin the twenty-two-track programme, with Aquarius Samba, Bikini Beach, Brasilia, Bravo Brazil and Butterfly Samba providing further choices later in the sequence. These multiple selections within one dance category offer dancers alternatives without requiring a change of album.

The ballroom side is equally clear in the documented labels. Amethyst Quickstep, Ballroom Queen and Birthday Party provide Quickstep choices; Arabian Nights, Beautiful Tango and Buenos Aires Tango supply contrasting titles within the Tango category. Aquamarine is identified as Viennese Waltz, while Bella Roma is Slow Fox and the closing Camelia Foxtrot is labelled Foxtrot. Jive appears through Aries Slow Jive, Banana Boogie and Bumble Bee Jive rather than being inferred from the sound of a title.

Beautiful Girl and Blue Trombone introduce Blues, and Auf Wiedersehn is categorised as Disco. Those additions make the volume broader than a strictly ballroom syllabus selection. The matching catalogue credits Günter Noris, the Ballroom Dance Orchestra and Marc Reift, supporting the collection's orchestral identity. For teachers and dancers planning practice, the practical advantage is the combination of named rhythms, several choices in the dominant categories and preserved individual times; the album itself supplies music, not instruction in the figures.
