The Ultimate Latin Album 10 – Hip Hip Chin Chin

Product Description

Hip Hip Chin Chin gives this volume of The Ultimate Latin Album its name, but the repertoire extends well beyond the title track. The forty selections move through all five International Latin dance categories, combining vocal songs, instrumental material and remix credits in a programme arranged in two parts.

Cha Cha Cha opens the first part with Yerba Buena and Won't You Join Me For A Drink. Ai No Corrida, Mambo Gelato and a version of Smoke On The Water add contrasting repertoire before the album turns to Samba. The Club Des Belugas title selection shares that section with Kaoma, Fanny Lu and Santana credits, giving dancers several musical choices within the same dance category.

Rumba occupies much of the second part. Hablando Claro, Delirio, She Will Be Loved and The Look Of Love sit alongside slower selections and named remixes. Two Paso Doble entries lead into the closing Jive group, which includes swing-band material, Sweet Soul Music and Jump Jive An' Wail.

That organisation helps a teacher locate a dance without searching through an undifferentiated playlist. Dancers can also choose among different songs in one category when practising a routine. Timings, tempo figures and version credits accompany the ordered track list, helping distinguish selections and remixes within this varied Latin collection.
