Argentine Tango – Strictly Sacadas
Sacadas are among the most distinctive techniques in Argentine Tango. Often translated as “displacements,” they allow one dancer to enter the space previously occupied by the partner’s leg, creating dynamic movement, elegant turns, and countless improvisational possibilities.
In this instructional program, respected tango instructors Christy Coté and George Garcia present a systematic study of Sacada technique, beginning with fundamental entries and progressing through increasingly sophisticated applications for both leaders and followers.
The workshop explores how Sacadas can be integrated into Molinetes, Ochos, Turns, Shadow Position sequences, and advanced social tango combinations while maintaining balance, timing, and partner connection.
