Premium Standard – Ballroom Allure brings a cinematic touch to International Standard ballroom music, pairing familiar film melodies with orchestral pieces, swing numbers, and contemporary songs arranged for dancing.
Movie music plays a central role in the collection. Melodies associated with Beauty and the Beast, Aquaman, The Mask of Zorro, and Disney’s Aladdin appear alongside selections from Schindler’s List, Shrek Forever After, and other films. The result is a programme that moves between romantic ballads, dramatic orchestral music, and lighter, upbeat tracks without losing its focus on ballroom dancing.
The album covers all five Standard dances, from the flowing character of Slow Waltz and the sharper accents of Tango to the faster movement of Viennese Waltz and Quickstep. Slow Foxtrot adds a more relaxed change of pace, with a blend of vocal and instrumental recordings.
