May I Have the Next Dream by Tony Evans and His Orchestra is a 12-track ballroom dance music album covering four core Standard styles: Quickstep, Foxtrot, Waltz, and Tango. The collection combines familiar melodies with clearly designated dance rhythms, providing a practical selection for ballroom practice, lessons, social dancing, and studio use.
The album opens with three Quicksteps: Mr. Sandman, Pretend You’re Happy When You’re Blue, and Every Dream. This opening section provides three different musical selections for dancers working specifically on Quickstep rhythm and movement.
The Foxtrot section follows with Roses of Picardy, I Don’t Want to Walk Without You, and the title track May I Have the Next Dream. The program then moves into Waltz with Hasta Luego, I Wonder Who’s Kissing Her Now, and Song of My Life.
The final three tracks are dedicated to Tango: Mexican Hat Dance, Ole Guapa, and Golden Tango. Together they complete a balanced program containing three tracks for each of the four represented ballroom dances.
This straightforward 3-tracks-per-rhythm format is particularly convenient for focused practice. Dancers and teachers can work through several pieces of the same dance before progressing to the next rhythm, making the album useful for structured classes as well as independent training.
