Time for Tango (3CD)

Product Description

Time for Tango is a substantial three-part music collection with 54 tracks, arranged as 18 selections in each part. The programme brings together a wide range of named orchestras, bands and performers under a shared tango theme. Its large selection gives customers a broad listening library rather than a short album devoted to one ensemble or a single set of arrangements.

The first part centres on Tango Orchester Alfred Hause, Ambros Seelos Show Band and Orchester Claudius Alzner. Titles include Tango del Amor, Hernando's Hideaway, El Choclo, A media luz, Blue Tango and Jalousie. The second part adds Christa Behnke, Orchester Reto Parolari and DRS-Big Band alongside further Alfred Hause and Claudius Alzner selections, with repertoire such as La Cumparsita, Tango Notturno, La Golondrina and Granada. The final part introduces further credited performers, including Georg Schwenk, The Safaris, Harry Mooten and Mandolinenorchester Ivo Meletti.

Kriminaltango, Jungle Tango, Petit palais and Tango for Capri are among the contrasting titles in the third part, which closes with La Paloma and Tango d’Amore. The range of credited performers gives the collection a broader character than an album devoted to one orchestra.

Customers can browse by familiar melody, explore a preferred ensemble, or compare the musical variety across the three parts. The programme is presented as tango-themed recorded music, with the individual artist credits kept beside their selections. Its fifty-four entries make it a substantial listening library for tango enthusiasts, while the retained grouping makes the larger selection manageable.
