Mambo Bronze Elements & Techniques is a comprehensive American Style Rhythm instructional program featuring Bob Powers & Julia Gorchakova, designed to develop the essential figures and technical foundations of Bronze-level Mambo.
Produced in 2004, this approximately 69-minute program begins with one of the most important elements of Mambo—how to count the rhythm correctly. Bob and Julia then introduce several forms of the Basic Step, including Normal, First Position, and Chassé actions.
The program progresses through essential Bronze material such as the Open Break, Underarm Turn to the Right, Crossover Breaks, Walk Around Turn, Second Position Breaks (Side Breaks), Fifth Position Breaks, and Cross Body Lead.
Additional figures include Promenade Swivels, Outside Swivels, Back Spot Turn, and Opening Out, giving dancers a varied selection of movements for developing coordination, timing, partnering, and Mambo vocabulary.
Originally released on DVD, this program is now offered as an MP4 digital video.
