American Rhythm – Bolero Bronze Elements & Techniques is a comprehensive instructional program featuring Bob Powers & Julia Gorchakova, designed for dancers developing their American Style Rhythm Bolero at the Bronze (Beginning–Intermediate) level.
Produced in 2004, this approximately 75-minute program introduces the essential elements, figures, and techniques needed to build a strong foundation in Bolero. The instruction progresses from fundamental Forward and Back Walks and the Basic Step into partnered figures such as the Cross Body Lead, Open Break, Underarm Turns, Side Pass, Fifth Position Breaks, and Crossover Breaks.
The program then expands into more expressive and dynamic material, including the Walk Around Turn, Arm Styling, Inside and Outside Swivels, and Three Step Turn. These elements help dancers develop coordination, partnering, styling, and greater confidence when combining Bronze-level Bolero figures.
A complete Dance Demonstration concludes the program, allowing dancers to see the material performed together in context.
Originally released by Dance Vision on DVD, this program is now offered as an MP4 digital video.
