Product Description
Theatre songs and orchestral recordings are a distinctive part of The Best of Ballroom Music – Part 10. Emily Skinner and Alice Ripley appear in both the Viennese Waltz and Quickstep sections, while Michelle Nicastro contributes Everybody Wants to Be a Cat and One Jump Ahead in different dance categories. Customers can follow performers they enjoy while exploring a wider Standard repertoire.
Five Waltzes open the album, including Flying by Cait Agus Sean, Appalachian Lullabye by Jim Brandmeier and Theme from Rudy by Jerry Goldsmith. The following Tango section concentrates on 101 Strings, with Canaro en Paris by Carlos Ortega completing that group. Four Viennese Waltzes then bring together Annie’s Song, Lucky’s Waltz, If Momma Was Married and Montmartre.
Slow Foxtrot introduces Christiane Noll, Jason Graae, Michelle Nicastro and Sally Mayes before five Quicksteps close the programme. The collection is especially useful for dancers who want song-based accompaniment alongside orchestral pieces, with several choices within every Standard dance. Rather than prescribing a particular routine, it supplies a repertoire from which teachers and partners can select music suited to their session. The complete listing preserves the original Part 10 / Vol.22 designation, sequence, artist credits, recording lengths and tempo figures.
