BDFI UK Congress 2009 is an extensive Ballroom dance lecture and technical training program presented by The Ballroom Dancers’ Federation International (BDFI). With approximately 203 minutes of material, the program brings together respected dancers, teachers, and leading figures from the Ballroom world for a series of lectures covering partnership, artistry, technique, development, and competitive dancing.
The first part features four individual lectures: “The Power of Two” by Tone Nyhagen, “Keeping it Human” by Anne Laxholm, “Back to the Future” by Lene James, and “Artistry in Dance” by Kenny Welsh. Each presentation explores a different aspect of Ballroom dancing and offers ideas and insights relevant to serious dancers, teachers, and competitors.
The second part is dedicated to a Tribute to Bill & Bobbie Irvine MBE, hosted by Greg Smith and John Kimmins. The tribute brings Oliver Wessel-Therhorn, Andrew Sinkinson, and Marcus & Karen Hilton MBE together on stage to celebrate the contribution and legacy of Bill and Bobbie Irvine in the Ballroom dance world.
Originally presented as a two-disc collection, this MP4 digital edition combines an important series of BDFI Congress lectures with a memorable tribute to two influential figures in Ballroom dancing.
