What happens through the body as a step is produced? Lene James considers body weight, balance, coordination and the communication between different parts of the body in this 2007 congress lecture. Her 'striking point' concept forms part of that discussion, giving viewers a specific point of focus when considering how a step is coordinated.

The material covers Rumba, Samba and Cha Cha and includes a moment in which Lene and Colin James dance together. That combination of lecture subject and partnered dancing makes the recording useful for teachers and students interested in how coordinated movement is presented. The MP4 video collection captures her return to teaching at the Champions School congress after a break.
