Anyone Can Dance

The scope of Anyone Can Dance is wider than its original broad Latin label suggests. Straighten Up And Fly Right and Misty are assigned to Foxtrot, followed by Time In A Bottle and Charade in Waltz. Deja Me En Paz introduces Argentine Tango before Cha Cha Muchacha moves into Cha Cha Cha. The collection is therefore a mixed music programme, not a set of lessons implied by the accessible title.

The next selections provide two Rumbas, Tranquila and El Destino, followed by Morning Dance in Samba and El Meneito in Merengue. The later portion turns towards social and club categories: (She's) Some Kind Of Wonderful is marked EC Swing, Mi Primer Amante is Salsa, and Queen-A-Licious is Hustle. Obie-One and So Far Away close the programme with separate Night Club Freestyle and Night Club Slowdancing labels.

This breadth is useful for customers whose sessions combine several types of partner or social dancing. The individual category labels help distinguish those choices, rather than treating all fifteen tracks as interchangeable Latin music. Source rhythm numbers are retained wherever provided, and Argentine Tango remains without an invented number. The instrumental classification and Dance Vision brand are preserved. Dancers and teachers can use the selection to consider music for dances they already know, while the complete track list gives a precise picture of the material included.
