The Best Of Latin Music Vol.15 – Latinos

Product Description

Latinos is Volume 15 in Casa Musica’s The Best of Latin Music series, a seventeen-track collection of vocal and instrumental Latin recordings. Its named artists and varied repertoire are central to the selection, giving dancers a way to explore different musical characters within one compact programme.

The sequence opens with Rumbakalao, Move It Up, Sands of Time and Zimbumba. It also includes Harlem Nocturne, Chilly Cha Cha, Cuentame, Espana Cani, Spanischer Zigeunertanz and Lovin' You Is Easy. The varied artist list includes Azuquita, El General, Pandora, Batida, Mantovani, Molotov, Jessica Jay, Joe Jackson and Gerard Joling. The closing recordings add further performers to that mix, extending the contrast between titles and interpretations.

The closing sequence moves from the Spanish-associated Espana Cani and Spanischer Zigeunertanz into Joe Jackson’s (He’s A) Shape In A Drape, The Mambo Rebells’ Rattle And Roll (Radio Mix) and Gerard Joling’s Lovin’ You Is Easy. Keeping these recording credits visible helps customers choose an interpretation rather than relying only on a familiar song title.

For teachers and dancers building a Latin music selection, the appeal is the variety within a relatively compact seventeen-track programme. A listener can explore the contrasting artists or return to an individual title for a dance session. The complete order and the Radio Mix qualifier remain in the track list.
