Product Description

Smokey Joe's Cafe presents a substantial two-part archival music programme with 49 entries. Its contents feature rock-and-roll and blues-related repertoire, repeated versions and dated recording annotations, rather than a conventional five-dance Latin ballroom selection. The programme includes titles associated with The 101ers archive, with the supplied sequence keeping the different takes and session references as separate entries.

The first part contains 23 items. Gloria opens the programme, followed by Rabies, Keys To Your Heart, Surf City and Sweet Revenge. Several of these titles recur with different annotations, including references to Pathway Studio, Orsett Terrace and the Roundhouse. Monkey Business, Shake Your Hips, Junco Partner and Don't Let Go broaden the repertoire, while two Heartbreak Hotel entries close the first part. The original unidentified item remains marked ??? (???), rather than being given an invented song title.

The second part contains 26 entries, including Bony Moronie, Choo Choo Ch'Boogie, Smokey Joe's Cafe, Johnny B.Goode, Route 66 and Who Do You Love? Later titles include Be Bop A Lula, I Saw Her Standing There, Roll Over Beethoven and a closing Gloria. For listeners interested in the archive, the separate versions and recording annotations are the central value of the programme. Repeated titles are retained so that distinct entries remain accessible. The product supplies MP3 audio; it does not describe dance instruction, ballroom tempo editing or a performance of the stage musical sharing the title.
