Prandi Sound – Quintettango Vol. 1 is an instrumental Argentine Tango music collection performed by the Quintettango Orchestra and released in 2002.
The album features 15 tracks spanning the three principal musical forms associated with Argentine Tango dancing: Tango, Milonga, and Vals. The selections are marked “no strict tempo,” allowing the music to retain a more natural and expressive character rather than following a rigid dance tempo.
The collection begins with five Argentine Tango pieces, including Il Merlo, Apasionado, Desiderio, Malinconico Ricordo, and Golondrinas, followed by five energetic Milongas and five Vals/Tango Vals selections.
Entirely instrumental and performed by the Quintettango Orchestra, Quintettango Vol. 1 offers a varied music collection for Argentine Tango, Milonga, and Vals dancing, practice, and listening.
