Product Description
Masters Of Modern 9 places several contrasting repertoires within a fourteen-track Standard programme. Oh, Mio Babbino Caro opens the Slow Waltz group, joined by Dream Catcher and Apasionata. Three Tangos follow: El Recodo, Juventud Del Cuarenta and Serenata. The layout gives dancers more than one musical choice in each of these opening categories before the album changes to Viennese Waltz.
Viens, Mallika and Falling In Love With You form that two-track group, both carrying the programme's 59 notation. The Slow Foxtrots then draw on Tell Me Your Dream, Sentimental Journey and I've Got The World On A String. Dancin' Fool, Life Goes To A Party and Opus One close the programme as Quicksteps, each labelled 51. The shift from lyric-song standards to these closing titles helps explain the range of the collection without assigning unverified instrumentation to individual recordings.
For Standard students and teachers, this volume offers clear category changes and several alternative selections within most dances. The documented running times make it possible to plan around a particular piece, and the full list keeps each numeric dance notation beside its title. The progression from three Waltzes to a three-track Quickstep finish gives the album a clear five-dance shape, with the shorter Viennese Waltz group between its Tango and Slow Foxtrot sections.
