A clear division between beginning and intermediate material makes Anyone Can Dance Salsa easy to assess before choosing a lesson resource. Donald Johnson and Kasia Kozak introduce the programme with Basic Step, Back Breaks and Side Breaks. Basic with Ladies Right Turn and Basic with Man's Right Turn complete the five beginning figures before their demonstration.
The intermediate section changes the emphasis to cross-body-lead material. Cross Body Lead is followed by Catch the Back and Cross Body Lead with Inside Turn, with a demonstration of those three steps. This provides a small, defined later collection that students can approach after reviewing the beginning group, rather than a long set of unrelated combinations.
National Ballroom Dance Champions Johnson and Kozak present the approximately 50-minute programme for beginning-to-intermediate study. Its practical strength is the separation of basic breaks and partner turns from the later cross-body-lead actions. Newer dancers can stay with the opening section while building familiarity; teachers can choose one of the later figures when a student is ready for another partner exchange. Both demonstrations give viewers a place to return as the steps become part of their practice.
