ISTD Sequence Dances, issued by the Sequence Dance Faculty Committee of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), is a technical reference for dancers and teachers studying established Sequence Dance routines.
Sequence dancing combines predetermined patterns performed in sequence, with traditions extending from early social and Old Time dancing into Modern and Latin Sequence. The ISTD Sequence Faculty maintains a syllabus incorporating dances across these different styles and continues to review its material to support high technical standards. ISTD
Designed as a practical study and teaching resource, this book provides standardized dance material useful for learning established sequences, developing accurate technique, and supporting Sequence Dance training and examination preparation.
