Refine your Standard Ballroom technique with Dance Training Quickstep & Viennese Waltz, an instructional coaching program presented by Caterina Arzenton. Designed for beginning to intermediate dancers, this course focuses on identifying common technical mistakes and developing the essential skills needed to improve performance in both Quickstep and Viennese Waltz.
Rather than teaching choreography alone, the program follows a practical coaching format that demonstrates how competitive dancers are evaluated and corrected. Each dance begins with a performance before the lesson, followed by the judge’s point of view, highlighting technical weaknesses and the areas requiring improvement. Caterina then explains and demonstrates the corrections, covering key elements such as posture, lead and follow, body contact, rotation, and shape. Each section concludes with a performance after the lesson, allowing viewers to clearly see the improvements achieved through proper technique.
Caterina Arzenton brings extensive competitive and coaching experience to the course. Born in Italy, she became an accomplished Standard Ballroom dancer with Augusto Schiavo, winning numerous championships, including the World Professional Championship in 2000 and the UK Championships in 2001. Today, she is recognized internationally as a respected coach, sharing her knowledge with dancers through training camps and workshops around the world.
Whether you’re preparing for competitions, improving your social dancing, or building stronger technical foundations, this video provides valuable coaching methods that can be applied to long-term ballroom development.
