Product Description

Permette Un Ballo Vol. 9 is Barimar’s 1999 collection of 22 source-listed dance recordings. The programme combines waltzes, mazurkas, polkas, tango and other Italian social-dance labels, with a march opening and a one-step closing selection. Its varied scope extends beyond the broad Standard category used in the existing metadata.

Marcia di Radetzsky opens the album, followed by L’Usignolo, Senza rete and Son contento. La canzone dell’amore, solo per te Lucia supplies a slow waltz, while Marcia turca is labelled polka. La fisarmonica retains its Terzinato designation and Paris canaille its Ritmo Allegro wording.

Later selections include Scabroso, Europolca, M’illumino nel tango, La tremenda and In riva al mare. The Jolie entry retains the separately supplied Learco Gianferrari credit. Sempre libera…brindisi della traviata and Il canarino precede 4 tempi, which explicitly names waltz, polka, mazurka and tango within one track. Bella ciao closes as One Step.

The complete programme is useful for listeners choosing among different Italian social-dance forms and familiar melodies. Original rhythm labels and durations identify the recordings without assuming that every title follows the same modern ballroom classification. All twenty-two entries and their original order are preserved, including the multi-rhythm track and the additional performer credit.
