American Smooth – Bronze Foxtrot Variations
American Smooth – Bronze Foxtrot Variations is an instructional training program designed to help dancers expand their American Smooth Foxtrot beyond the traditional Bronze syllabus. Presented by Jim & Jenell Maranto, the course demonstrates how figures commonly associated with Tango, Waltz, and Viennese Waltz can be incorporated into Foxtrot to create greater variety, movement options, and visual interest.
Throughout the program, dancers learn how to adapt familiar Smooth concepts while maintaining the flowing character and elegance of American Smooth Foxtrot. The material focuses on footwork, positioning, lead and follow skills, body shaping, arm styling, and transitional movement between figures.
By combining figures from multiple Smooth dances, students gain a broader understanding of movement possibilities and improve their ability to create more versatile and engaging Foxtrot routines for social dancing, performances, and syllabus development.
