The early figures in this collection use open left and right turning material credited to Foxtrot and Waltz. Jim and Jenell Maranto then bring in a Chair & Slip Pivot and Oversway from Reverse, showing the cross-dance basis of their American Style Viennese Waltz variations.
Later material changes the emphasis: Tango contributes Swivel Fans and Traveling Right Lunges, while Foxtrot contributes Slide & Check, Hairpin from Reverse and Promenade Pivots. Each group of five is followed by a demonstration. Alongside the figures, technical material covers footwork, dance positions, partner connection, shaping, hip action and arm styling. The approximately 81-minute Silver programme gives dancers turning, shaping and traveling ideas to examine within ten connected variations.
