Musical choices and choreography sit side by side in this Allan Tornsberg Blackpool Congress collection. Its six listed presentations begin with Musical Influences in Samba Choreography, followed by Rumba and two separate Paso Doble entries. Those headings distinguish the collection from a single-dance syllabus course: viewers have several lecture subjects to choose from within one Latin programme.
The Samba presentation explicitly connects musical influences with choreography. Two Paso Doble lectures provide separate points of reference: Paso Doble Choreography and Paso Doble. Rumba offers another dance-specific subject, allowing the selection to be approached according to the Latin dance a viewer is currently studying.
A Moving Conversation, presented by Allan Tornsberg and Vibeke Toft at the 2012 Congress, extends the selection beyond the individual dance headings. Our Latin Vision is a joint presentation with Paul Killick from the 2018 Congress, adding a further shared contribution to the collection.
These live Congress lectures, recorded at Winter Gardens, Blackpool, are intended for intermediate and advanced Latin study. Dancers and teachers can select a particular subject, revisit the choreography-focused entries or explore the joint presentations. The six lectures make a varied archive of named Congress topics rather than a continuous beginner's syllabus.
