Premium Collection – Instrumental Hits In Gold (2CD)

Product Description

The distinguishing feature of Instrumental Hits In Gold is its range of named performers. Rather than present one orchestra throughout, the documented selection brings together Captain Cook Und Seine Singenden Saxophone, Henry Arland, Max Greger, Walter Scholz and other artists. Their recordings draw on familiar songs, instrumental favourites and repertoire with different geographical associations.

Part One ranges from Just Walking In The Rain and All You Need Is Love to Guantanamera, Concierto De Aranjuez and La Bamba. It also includes the Glenn Miller Orchestra's Saint Louis Blues March and contributions from the Acoustic Sound Orchestra and Orchester Ambros Seelos. Part Two continues with You Are So Beautiful, Chariots Of Fire and A String Of Pearls, then adds Ballade Pour Adeline, Fiesta Mexicana and Memory among its listed selections.

The performer credits distinguish interpretations of well-known titles instead of suggesting that these are the original vocal recordings. A listener can move from orchestra-led favourites to the separately credited instrumental artists and choose by both melody and performer. The second part ends with Rain Over Kilimandscharo, Wahnsinn and Time to Say Goodbye, completing the forty-track selection. Its breadth is valuable for customers building an instrumental listening library, while the Standard classification provides a ballroom context without assigning an unlisted dance tempo to every song.
