Product Description

Latin Dream Special brings together 16 selections for the five Latin ballroom dances: samba, cha cha cha, rumba, paso doble and jive. Its programme is arranged by dance, beginning with three sambas before moving through the cha cha cha and rumba groups. The closing selections cover paso doble and jive, making the collection useful when choosing music for a varied Latin practice session or a social dance playlist.

The samba opening includes Tico Tico and Swing da calor, followed by Maria bonita and Evenezual in the cha cha cha section. Rumba has the largest group, with Mas Alla, Love story, Rayo de sol and Il ragazzo sul delfino. Fiesta madrilena, El matador and Tierra d'espana provide the paso doble selections. The final jive group includes a Medley, Shake rattle and roll and Blue dance, giving the programme a distinct change of pace after the rumba and paso doble material.

The collection contains vocal and instrumental music. The track list identifies each dance using the original SA, CH, RU, PD and JI labels, so dancers and teachers can quickly find the appropriate group without searching through an unclassified song library. It offers musical accompaniment for existing dance practice, with the emphasis on the repertoire and dance selection rather than a lesson or a demonstration of figures.
