Chartbreaker for Dancing, Vol. 14

Product Description

Chartbreaker for Dancing Vol. 14 is a 2012 dance-music album catalogued under Orchestra Alec Medina. Its fifteen-track programme spans Standard, Latin and social foxtrot rhythms. One recording, Lonely, is separately credited to Tanzorchester Klaus Hallen feat. Gaby Goldberg & Peter Bauchwitz; that individual credit remains part of the complete original track list.

Ai Se Eu Te Pego and Geronimo open the album as sambas, followed by Moves Like Jagger and We Found Love as cha cha selections. Happiness and Lonely provide the rumbas, and Marry You the jive. These tracks bring familiar popular songs into explicitly identified dance arrangements.

The Standard choices include Bridge of Light from Happy Feet 2 and Jar of Hearts as slow waltzes, Somebody That I Used to Know as tango, A Thousand Years from Twilight – Breaking Dawn as Viennese waltz and Video Games as slowfox. Le Long de la Route and Our Day Will Come supply the quicksteps. The A-Team closes the programme as social foxtrot.

Portuguese, English and French vocal information accompanies the relevant entries. The album is useful when assembling a varied dance playlist, with tempo notation and durations available for choosing individual recordings. The separately credited Lonely sits between Happiness and Marry You, retaining its place within the Latin portion before the Standard selections.
