International Latin Silver & Gold Rumba Syllabus is an advanced instructional program presented by renowned Latin dance educator Corky Ballas, assisted by Kristina Pchenitchnykh. Covering both Silver and Gold levels of the International Latin Rumba syllabus, this approximately 103-minute program provides a structured progression through increasingly sophisticated figures, partnering actions and characteristic Rumba movements.
The Silver Level develops essential higher-level syllabus vocabulary through the Open Hip Twist, Reverse Top, Opening Out from Reverse Top, Aida, Spiral, Curl and Rope Spin. These figures help dancers progress beyond basic Rumba patterns while developing stronger control of rotation, connection, transitions and coordinated partner movement.
The Gold Level advances into more complex material with Sliding Doors, Fencing, Three Threes, Three Alemanas, Advanced Hip Twist, Continuous Hip Twist and Circular Hip Twist. These figures introduce increasingly demanding changes of position, rotational actions and continuous movement sequences that are fundamental to advanced International Latin Rumba.
Each section concludes with a demonstration of the figures, allowing dancers to see how individual syllabus elements connect in practical sequences. The program finishes with a complete Dance Demonstration, providing an additional reference for continuity, timing, partnering and presentation.
At approximately 1 hour 43 minutes, this is a valuable syllabus resource for Silver and Gold students, dance teachers, medal-test candidates, competitive dancers and instructors who want to develop a stronger understanding of advanced International Latin Rumba.
