International Latin Bronze Jive Syllabus is a comprehensive instructional program presented by renowned Latin dance educator Corky Ballas, assisted by Olga Rodionova. Designed around the Bronze International Latin Jive syllabus, this program provides a clear and structured approach to learning the fundamental figures, actions and combinations required to build a solid Jive foundation.
The program begins with an Introduction to Jive and Jive Chassés, establishing the characteristic rhythm and movement of the dance before progressing through the Bronze syllabus figures. Essential patterns include Basic in Place, Fallaway Rock, Fallaway Throwaway, Link Rock, Change of Places, Change of Hands Behind the Back and Hip Bump. The later section introduces American Spin, The Walks, Stop & Go, The Mooch, The Whip and The Whip Throwaway.
Figures are presented individually and reinforced through grouped demonstrations, helping dancers understand how individual syllabus elements connect in continuous dancing. A complete Dance Demonstration provides an additional opportunity to observe the rhythm, partnering and practical application of the material.
With approximately 80 minutes of instruction, this program is an excellent reference for Bronze-level students, dance teachers, medal-test candidates and competitive dancers, as well as instructors looking for structured material for International Latin Jive lessons.
