Product Description
Latin Extreme is arranged around three Latin dance categories, with a particularly extensive Rumba selection. Five Cha Cha tracks begin the album, moving from Dark Matter and Give Me One Reason through Dancin and When the Beat Drops Out to Solta-Se o Beijo. Keeping these recordings together makes it easy to compare alternatives when selecting accompaniment for Cha Cha practice.
The five Sambas follow as a separate group: Carousel, Bombay, Borro Cassette, Vaivén and Lalala. Rumba then occupies the remaining nine positions, with Tonight, Às Vezes, Say Something and Faded leading into O mare e tu, Io Non Ti Lascero Mai, Perdóname, Dubbi non ho and Alma de Vento. The multilingual song titles give the collection a different repertoire from an album built entirely around English-language standards.
Dancers and teachers who concentrate on these three rhythms can choose from the grouped programme without searching through additional dance categories. The balance is also worth noting when choosing the album: Rumba offers more individual selections than either Cha Cha or Samba. This is recorded dance music, with the song sequence organised by rhythm rather than a set of instructional lessons.
