Donnie Burns – Dance Training Samba is an instructional MP4 video presented by Donnie Burns, one of the most accomplished Latin dancers in DanceSport history. A 14-time World Professional Latin Champion, 5-time Grand Slam Champion, British Open Champion, and UK Open Champion, Donnie shares the technical principles he has developed through decades of international competition, coaching, and adjudicating.
Rather than simply demonstrating syllabus figures, this training video focuses on identifying and correcting the most common technical mistakes seen in Samba at all levels of competition. Using Sergey Surkov & Agnieszka Melnicka (2005 UK Open Amateur Latin Championship finalists) as demonstration dancers, Donnie first presents each group with intentional technical faults before explaining how to improve posture, body action, timing, bounce, movement, and overall dance quality. The corrected version is then demonstrated, allowing viewers to clearly understand the difference between common errors and proper competitive technique.
Designed for Bronze to Intermediate dancers, this lesson provides practical technical guidance that can be applied immediately in practice, teaching, and competition preparation.
