Sway, Syncopated Sway and Side Touch introduce the beginning section of Anyone Can Dance Nightclub Slow Dancing. Side Rocks and Opening Out complete the first five subjects before their demonstration. The collection gives newer dancers several ways to approach slow-dancing movement without immediately starting with a long turning combination.
The intermediate group adds Slide Rock, underarm turns to the right and left, Traveling Step and The Dip. Its demonstration is labelled Steps 6–10 in the original programme. The separate groups provide useful choices for practice: students can remain with the opening sway and rock material or select one of the later actions for further study with a teacher.
