Product Description
A Cradle Circle from Rumba and a Cradle to Hammerlock from East Coast Swing become part of the Merengue material in this cross-dance variation programme. Donald Johnson and Kasia Kozak show how steps associated with other Rhythm dances can be incorporated into American Style Merengue, drawing on the named actions of five other Rhythm dances.
The ten variations also draw on Cha Cha, Bolero and Mambo. Two demonstration sections follow figures 1–5 and 6–10, giving the collection a clear grouping for study. The accompanying technique material concerns footwork, dance positions, partner connection, body shaping, hip action and arm styling. The recording runs approximately 58 minutes and is classified Bronze, beginning-to-intermediate.
