Jump And Jive

Product Description

Jump And Jive is a 22-track Casa musica compilation dated 2008. Every source entry is labelled for jive, while the musical styles include swing, orchestral recordings, soundtrack selections and Nu Jazz/Electro Swing. The MP3 album gathers a varied group of performers rather than presenting a single ensemble throughout.

Nina Simone opens with My Baby Just Cares For Me, followed by Dimitri From Paris, Lily Wilde and Lou Rawls. Johnny Nocturne Band feat. Kim Nalley, Tom Gaebel and Rockin' Louie & The Mamma Jammers appear in the next group. Götz Alsmann, Mitch Woods & His Rocket 88's and Maria Vincent & The Millionaires continue the repertoire, with further selections from the Glenn Miller Orchestra, Keely Smith and Roomful Of Blues later in the programme.

The supplied jive tempo values move from 30 to 43, with a larger group sharing the final value. Customers can compare different musical styles within that labelled pace, or select earlier entries when looking for a lower value. The source notation is preserved without conversion or a new claim about tempo units.

Soundtrack references and featured-artist credits stay attached to the individual recordings. The programme closes with Goldeneye and Baila Mi Ritmo, retaining the full original order. Its value lies in the range of jive accompaniment available for an existing dance repertoire and listening playlist.
