Donnie Burns – Dance Training Set is a five-video instructional series covering the technical foundations of International Latin. Presented by Donnie Burns MBE, the program uses demonstrations by Sergey Surkov and Agnieszka Melnicka to explain movement, body actions, timing, and partner technique across the five International Latin dances.
Rather than focusing only on dance figures, the lessons examine how movements are performed and highlight common technical mistakes that dancers frequently encounter. By comparing incorrect and corrected demonstrations, the series helps viewers better understand balance, weight transfer, posture, coordination, and movement quality.
Each video focuses on a single dance—Rumba, Cha Cha, Samba, Jive, or Paso Doble—allowing dancers to study the technical characteristics of each style individually. The collection can be used as a reference for regular practice, teaching, and competition preparation.
