Argentine Tango – Strictly Colgadas focuses on the technique and application of Colgadas, the shared-axis movements that have become a distinctive element of modern Argentine Tango and are widely associated with the Nuevo Tango style.
Beginning with the fundamental principles of Colgadas, Christy Coté & George Garcia demonstrate 15 progressive figures that combine shared-axis movement with techniques such as barridas, boleos, pasadas, sacadas, cadencias, and planeos. Each figure is explained individually before the program concludes with a complete dance demonstration.
Designed for dancers with previous Argentine Tango experience, this instructional video provides a practical reference for developing balance, partner connection, shared-axis control, and confidence when incorporating Colgadas into social or performance dancing.
