Anyone Can Dance Polka is an instructional dance program taught by National Ballroom Dance Champions Donald Johnson and Kasia Kozak. Designed for beginner through intermediate dancers, this course provides a structured introduction to Polka, making it easy to learn fundamental movements and progressively develop more advanced figures at home.
The instruction begins with essential Polka basics, covering fundamental steps, progressive basics, turning actions, and promenade variations before demonstrating how these figures are combined in a complete dance sequence. As dancers gain confidence, the program continues with intermediate-level figures including advanced basics, inside and outside turns, cradle, underarm turns, and chassé variations.
Each figure is demonstrated clearly and presented in a logical progression, allowing students to build technique step by step. The course concludes each level with demonstration routines that show how the individual figures can be connected into smooth, practical dancing.
With approximately 73 minutes of instruction, Anyone Can Dance Polka is suitable for home practice, dance students, and instructors looking for a solid foundation in Polka while developing timing, coordination, lead-and-follow skills, and social dancing confidence.
