2018 International Championships Ballroom

Product Description

Ballroom competition at the Royal Albert Hall is the subject of this 2018 International Championships recording. The programme combines Amateur and Professional events with coverage described as the final 48, the final honour dance and interviews with the year's Amateur and Professional champions. These elements give the edition a defined event focus beyond a general ballroom performance compilation.

For viewers interested in Standard dancing, the competition footage offers material to watch and discuss alongside their own training. The honour dance adds a separate performance occasion, while the interviews bring the champions' voices into the collection. Teachers and students can choose to observe the dancing together; enthusiasts can revisit the atmosphere of the event and its documented highlights.

This is the Ballroom edition, distinct from the Latin recording of the same championships. Its value is in revisiting Standard competition in the Royal Albert Hall setting and in the combination of dancing with honour-dance and interview material. Viewers interested in the event can watch for enjoyment, while students and teachers can bring observations from the performances into their own conversations about competitive presentation.
