2008 The World Super Stars Dance Festival – Latin presents showcase performances by seven leading International Latin partnerships, recorded at the 2008 edition of the World Super Stars Dance Festival.
The programme features Bryan Watson & Carmen, Michael Malitowski & Joanna Leunis, Riccardo Cocchi & Yulia Zagoruychenko, Sergey Surkov & Melia, Peter & Kristina Stokkebroe, Franco Formica & Oxana Lebedew, and Maxim Kozhevnikov & Beata.
Alongside performances of Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, and Jive, the collection includes individually titled showdance pieces. Riccardo Cocchi and Yulia Zagoruychenko present Spanish Fantasy and Hello Baby, while Franco Formica and Oxana Lebedew include Inka Dance. Maxim Kozhevnikov and Beata perform a programme of themed pieces including Mirage and Charlie Chaplin.
Each partnership brings its own approach to choreography, music, partnering, and theatrical presentation. The contrast between traditional Latin demonstrations and specially themed routines makes this collection particularly interesting as a record of competitive ballroom performance in 2008.
