Ebook – WDSF Viennese Waltz

Throughout the years DanceSport has evolved tremendously due to ever increasing physical
and coordinative abilities of athletes from around the world. Choreography of Waltz,
Tango, Slow Foxtrot and Quickstep was developed and implemented with new figures in
order to allow greater musical and personal interpretation. Although many of figurations
danced are not a part of the basic syllabus, the character and technical particularities of
each dance were maintained.
This book is intended as a guide in development of choreography in Viennese Waltz which,
up to now, has been left more or less untouched. All the figures were chosen with criteria
of maintaining the character and beauty of this historical dance.
